- Sub: MacApp Floaters problem
-
- I keep running into a problem with the MacApp floating palettes on ETO #2.
-
- It seems that the main window is getting a spurious deactivate event every
- other time when the application is getting switched in under Multi-Finder.
-
- To recreate this: (usually)
- 1) Bring up the DrawShapes example program
- 2) Get the tool palette displayed
- 3) Draw a shape on the screen.
- 4) Select the shape so that the handles for the object are being displayed
- 5) Resize the window so the scroll bars are drawn
- 7) Now switch out of DrawShapes by clicking in a Finder window
- 8) Switch back in by clicking in the DrawShapes window
-
- The window appears to be selected but the selection handles on the selected
- shape in the window appears to be dimmed, the scroll bars are not drawn and the
- menu bar items having to do with the shapes are dimmed. As you switch in and
- out of DrawShapes, every other time it seems like a deactivate event is being
- generated right after the activate event for the main window.
-
- This doesn't always seem to recreate the problem. If it doesn't, keep
- repeating steps 7 & 8 with moving the window each time before switching out of
- DrawShapes .
-
- Any help is solving this problem would be appreciated.
